Pod Casts, etc

I find that working in my dyeing studio it would be nice to have something to listen to. I have thought about books on tape but a) they are expensive and b) there aren't too many books on tape that I am interested in that I haven't already read. But I hear that there are lots of good podcasts out there. Do you have a favorite? I am open to suggestions. Obviously knitting themed ones would interest me buy, surprisingly, I know, I do have interests outside the fiber world. Anyway, I'd love to hear your suggestions. Thanks.

I have been listening to a few recently. The most professionally produced one is "Cast On" by Brenda Dayne. The podcast is funny and intellectual and has alerted me to some good music. I also listen to "Lime & Violet" which is basically the rantings of two very close friends who act as yarn enablers for each other. I've recently started listening to "Stash & Burn." While the content on this one is enjoyable and funny the audio sometimes gets in the way because the music clips are quite loud, but the voices get really quiet. Probably not the easiest thing to listen to while doing work far from the speakers. All of these podcasts recommend other knitting-themed podcasts so you can explore from there!

I love Cast On and Lime and Violet, too. I would add Sticks and String and It's a Purl, Man. They are both knitting podcasts done by guys and they are great to listen to.

I agree with cast-on. But I'd also suggest you visit www.librivox.org . I think I've gushed about it before, but it's all books in the public domain, so they're older. But it's all free and there are some fantastic classics by Jane Austen and Jules Verne and others.
