Lace!!
I am a lace virgin. But not for long! The lace base yarn that I have been eagerly waiting for arrived today. Its actually Zephyr, but I am selling it under the name Eos (in mythology Eos was Zephyr's mom and goddess of dawn). I dyed up the first couple of skeins this afternoon and am excited about it. Its not quite dry yet but I snapped a few photos and knit up a swatch anyway. What do you think?

I joined this KAL too, and I'm also a lace virgin :)
I like the color you've chosen, it's a really nice blue. I ordered Zephyr too in emerald green. The yarn looks easy to work with, I haven't received my yarn yet but it's on it's way, should receive in within the next few days.
I can't wait to get started!
Looks super! Love your mythology tie in. 28 days to go...
oooo your swatch is beautiful!!!
When are you going to have this up in the shop. I'm doing the MS3 too and I'll use yours when you get it in. I'm not really worrying about the time frame dealie. I can't ever meet a deadline so I don't see why this should be any different.
Its available on the website now (though I probably won't have many pictures for another week or two)and hopefully I'll have some at Knit Picky in the next week or two as well. I only ordered a small amount of base yarn to try it out so I am not going to dye up too much of it until I get some orders. Because of that, I'd be happy to do custom requests. Lace tends to look best in more subtle color combinations, so, for example, say you like the green of Brook Side but the contrast of the orange might not look good in lace-- I'd be happy to just do the greens and leave out the orange. Or you like Paradise but would prefer the colors be a bit more blended for lace. Just include these instructions in the "comments" section on the order page or in an email to me at info@paintedsheepyarn.com
